The Next Crop

Well, everyone, just want to mention that I had a great weekend at the campsite. Well, great until bedtime. The campground is close to the 401, so you can hear the transports and there is also train tracks close by. So I heard every train that went by, I counted 7. So I think I only slept for maybe 4 hours. So I took a nap on Sunday. On Saturday though at the campsite they were celebrating Halloween so our daughter signed us up for the 9pm maze walk, haunted house walk and the haunted wagon ride. It gets dark earlier now and the wagon ride was, of course, through the woods, which is even darker. Did I mention that I don't like to be scared? The maze wasn't too bad, there were a few creepy ones hiding in the bushes (and no it wasn't my husband or son) but so far I wasn't scared. The haunted house was actually a trailer so the rooms were very small and cramped. I was smart though, I let our son and daughter go ahead of me so they would get scared first. Well, Sam almost jump out of her skin when the guy behind the bars jumped at her. The wagon ride was the best. I sat in the middle so that the "things" couldn't get at me. I was sure I was going to scared out of my mind, but I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. Sam was so scared (and she was the one looking forward to it) and screamed a lot. The next time you see me, just make sure you talk to me on my right side because I still can't hear out of my left ear. :) Just a note about the Saturday, September 13 12 hour crop. There is only 4 spaces left. So if you want to come, just give me a call or send an e-mail. Also, for the month of September we will be supporting the local food bank. So when you come to crop or to the store anytime through the month, please bring in a non-perishable food item.
